An important characteristic feature of the creative method of Coleridge is the multidimensionality of his works, which is achieved by poetic vagueness of images, the use of symbols, created by the esemplastic power of Imagination ". These features of Coleridge's creative individuality were manifested in his great works “The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner", “Kubla Khan", "Christabel" and other poems. Creative method of the poet reveals such inherent qualities, as multilayered, multidimensional content of the symbols, originality of interpretations of traditional motifs and subjects.
