Достижение гендерного равенства и гендерной демократии является одним из показателей демократических преобразований и развития государства. За период существования независимости Республики Беларусь в стране произошли политические и социально-экономические изменения, трансформировалось мировоззрение и ценностные ориентиры. Статья посвящается исследованию особенностей
развития гендерной политики в Республике Беларусь с 1996 г. (когда был принят первый Национальный
план действий по улучшению положения женщин) по настоящее время. Проанализирован процесс становления механизма реализации гендерной политики, особенности национальных планов действий по
обеспечению гендерного равенства и совершенствования гендерной политики в Республике Беларусь. = The achievement of gender equality and gender democracy is one of the indicators of democratic transformations and state development. During the period of the independence of the Republic of Belarus, political
and socio-economic changes have taken place in the country, the world outlook and values have been transformed. The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the development of gender policy in the Republic of Belarus since 1996 (since the adoption of the first National Action Plan for the Improvement of the Status
of Women) to the present. The process of formation of the mechanism for the implementation of gender policy,
features of the National Action Plans for ensuring gender equality, achievements in the field of ensuring gender
equality and directions for improving gender policy in the Republic of Belarus are analyzed.
